Claude Feyder was the brother-in-law and trusted confidante of Laurent Bouquet. He was the one who took in Mireille and fled Corsica with her when the rest of the Bouquet Family was killed. He too, like the rest of the Bouquet family, was a member of The Soldats and worked as an assassin for them.

Appearance[]

Claude was a tall man, with handsome features. He had short, wavy blonde hair and sharp bluish purple eyes. His face was set and square along with his generally broad build. His appearance was not too dissimilar to his sister, Odette Bouquet. His younger appearance shows him with a rounder face and flat bangs.

He was well dressed, mostly seen in a navy jacket worn on top of a beige vest and a white shirt along with light gray dress pants. He wore a purple cravat tucked into his collar and a white handkerchief in his barchetta pocket.

Personality[]

Claude was a sophisticated yet kind man who ultimately cared for his family the most. While not much is known about his relationship with his sister, he viewed the man she married with respect and love as if he were his blood-related brother. Even after his death, he spoke charitably of Laurent and believed him to be a great man. Claude also cared deeply for Mireille, taking her in when she was orphaned and treating her as if she were his daughter.

Claude was an anthophile, his mansion featured a large greenhouse in which he tended to a large variety of flowers. He believed raising flowers with love helped them grow, and that they listened when talked to. Though he admitted, that sometimes even he fails to keep them alive.

In the end, Claude feared the Soldats the most. He complied with them fully as he saw what had happened to Laurent and didn't want the same to happen to himself. Even in his dread, he tried to protect Mireille by initially lying to her about the Soldats but eventually admits to the job they had assigned to him, to assassinate Kirika. He claims he didn't need to tell her but felt like she was in the right to know.

Background[]

While not much is known about his early years, Claude became one of Laurent's right-hand men, along with George Madelin, presumably due to their relationship as brothers-in-law.

When Odette, Laurent, and their son were murdered by The Soldats, he fled Corsica with his now-orphaned niece, Mireille. Though originally Claude was ordered to be slain as well, he was spared due to his loyalty to the Soldats.

He took Mireille to Paris, where he continued to raise her in the absence of her parents. There was a lake where Claude would take the young, grief-stricken girl to cheer her up and it seems that the two grew close as they both fondly recall their memories together. Claude taught Mireille all she knows as an assassin and she affectionately refers to him as having been a strict teacher. It seems as some point when Mireille had grown up, Claude left Paris though it is unclear when he did and what for.

Role[]

Claude appears only in the episode "A Bouquet of Flowers for Mireille"
